  • Foundation Minute – Ross Baldree gave the foundation minute and Lincoln Ehrlenbach did the monthly raffle. Dave Wells was the lucky winner of a $10 gift card to Rooster Brothers.
     
  • Rotary Spotlight: Contact JoAnn Brown to sign up for the Rotary Spotlight on our Social Media pages. You send her a picture of yourself with information on why you join Rotary and it will be posted online.
     
  • “I AM ROTARY” signs and bumper stickers are available. Please display the sign at your office, when you’re out volunteering or at home! Please place the Bumper Sticker on your vehicle. We are hoping to see these in our community to get the word out about Rotary!
     
  • Greeter Sign-Up: Debbie Ehrlenbach is looking for Greeters for the month of November and December. Please let her know if you are available to help.
     
  • Invocation Sign-Up: Rob Hemenway is looking for members who can help doing the weekly invocations at our meetings. He has sent out an email for the month of November and December. Contact Rob!
     
  • China Hill Tipping: President Gene Pellerano sent an email out to membership about a problem with our relationship with China Hill regarding the payment of the server. The board will deal with this issue at the next couple of board meetings.
     
  • Movember: It’s time for the Annual Movember Challenge for Men’s Health. $20 donations. Men grow facial hair and women to have a fake beard or mustache. All donations go towards MCMH.
     
  • Rotary Apparel on Sale: Contact Dave Wells to order any Rotary Hats, Shirts and Sweatshirts!
Upcoming Community Service Events:
 
  • Blood Drive: The Blood Drive is the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. Please sign up for the month of October.  Max Dietshe thanks everyone for their continued help.
     
  • Kids Peace Trunk or Treat – October 29th at 1pm. Candy donations are needed and anyone who can be there to help. Contact Gene Pellerano.
     
  • YMCA Trunk or Treat – October 30th – Set-up 4-5pm. Event is from 5- 7pm. Candy donations are needed and anyone who can attend to help. Contact Jodie Cushing.
     
  • Loaves and Fishes Food Drive: November 20th at Ellsworth Hannaford. A sign-up sheet has been around to sign up. Shifts are 9-11am, 11-1pm, 1-3pm the last shift stops at 2pm then follows the van back to the pantry to unload. Contact Jodie Cushing.
Guest Speaker: This week's guest speaker was Kasey Jordan.  Kasey is an MDI High School senior working on her Girl Scout Gold Award.
The prestigious Gold Award is Girl Scout's highest achievement, and Kasey's project -Tiny Steps, is to build a 24x24 two bedroom house aimed for homeless female veterans. This house allows them to stay off the streets and in a safe environment.  Our club donated $500.00 towards this project.
