We were pleased to host our second Student of the Month program this week honoring four students from the Hancock County Technical Center. Our guest speaker was Brian Langley and it was another great night partnering with HCTC to recognize and encourage excellence in technical education. #ellsworthrotary

Scott Kimball for spring, Carl Lusby for the HCTC students and his trip to Cuba, Jo Cooper for being on Maine Public Radio’s Maine Calling program, Larry Fernald for the Patriots win, Tracy Shaffer for HCTC, Charlene Churchill for the HCTC students, Larry Fernald for the Red Sox spring training move, Debbie Ehrlenbach for the HCTC students.

Community Service: This month Rotarians will choose their own projects.
Program/Speaker: Debbie Ehrlenbach led the program honoring Hancock County Technical Center students in Early Childhood Education (student Breanna Stanley, MDIHS, instructor Meghan Stubbs), Carpentry (student Cody Peirce, Bucksport HS, and Andrew Jackson, EHS, presented by Hope High), Diesal Technology (student Alexander Haire, Narraguagus HS, instructor Andrew Trowbridge), Multimedia Design (student Eli Shein, instructor Jamie Anderson).
Guest speaker was Brian Langley who spoke about the importance of education and vocational training.
