
The Rotary Club of Ellsworth honored four outstanding students from Hancock County Technical Center in Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Welding Technology and Multimedia Design. Congratulations to Ryan Gross, Annine Kovacs, Andrew Erlanson and Alia Cough! It was another great night partnering with HCTC to recognize and encourage excellence in technical education!

ROTARY BUSINESS:
Upcoming Blood Drives – February 11th: The Red Cross has reached out to our club looking for volunteers for two upcoming blood drives. If you would like to sign up to help, please contact them. The flyers were emailed to all members.
Community Event for Northern Light – February 12th: The Northern Light Hospital Provider Relations Liaison- Home Care & Hospice Susan Chaar sent a community event flyer to us and wanted to share with the membership. It is a “Get Your Life in Order” presentation being held on February 12th at the Moore Center in Ellsworth. The flyer was emailed to all members.
Rotary Craft Fair: April 26th at EEMS from 9am-1pm. Setup will be the day before. More details to come.

HCTC Awards Night: This week's program at Rotary will be the 2nd Hancock County Technical Center (HCTC) Awards Evening of our program year.
Carl Lusby hosted and the club recognized students from Multimedia Design, Criminal Justice, Welding Technology and Early Childhood Education.

Polio Cups: Reminder to donate to Polio! For every $1 donated, 7 children are vaccinated.
Next week at Rotary- February 11- We will be at KidsPeace for the meeting with Rachel Bousquet as the guest speaker. The dinner is being provided by KidsPeace. There is no cost to members. The menu is a roast beef dinner with potatoes, gravy and a vegetable. Salad and dessert will be served as well.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 with the meal, followed by the usual Rotary business and Rachel speaking.
Board Meeting February 11th - The February Board Meeting will be held at 4:30 at the KidsPeace Lodge. Please be aware that there will be people preparing for the Rotary Dinner in the kitchen while we meet.
75th Anniversary Committee Meeting at 5:30 on February 12th. If you are a Paul Harris Committee Member or involved with the Anniversary Committee, we urge you to attend this meeting to finalize plans.
