Message from Denise Adams/Rotary Leadership Institute Chair
Hello:
The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) will return to District 7790 on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Lewiston – Auburn College!
RLI is offered in sequential sessions, and Parts I, II, III, and the Graduate program will be offered in Lewiston:
Date: Saturday, April 6, 2024
Time: Registration begins at 7:30 am, Classes from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
Rotarian Fee: $95 Registration Fee (Includes Breakfast and Lunch); Rotaractor Fee is $50
Register: http://www.rlinea.org/
We will need to have enough pre-registrations by 10 days prior to the program to ensure that each part will run, so don't delay registering!
The Graduate Program topic this year is "Succession Planning."
We are delighted to bring RLI back to our district "in person" in early spring.
About RLI:
Over the years, my club has benefited from RLI greatly. Rotarians with varying experience, from brand new members to those with many years of experience, have gained a great deal from RLI. This interactive program strengthens Rotary club leadership through quality, engaging education in both leadership skills and Rotary knowledge.
We hope that these highly interactive courses will serve as one more way to motivate participants on their path to be enthusiastic, creative and dedicated Rotarians. This is an outstanding opportunity for each club to improve the Rotary knowledge of its members, who will also be exposed to new ideas of leadership. The exchange of ideas with other Rotarians makes the courses even more worthwhile.
Registration: Go to the RLI Northeast home page at http://www.rlinea.org/, and under the "Upcoming Classes" list in the left column, under "RLI NEA Seminar - Dist 7790 - Lewiston, ME - April 6, 2024." Click on "More Info" to access the Course Registration link.
Many additional details are provided on the Rotary Leadership Institute website at http://www.rlinea.org/. Please feel free to contact me with any questions at dadams@neias.org or 207-632-4721.
Please share this information with your fellow club members and other interested Rotarians.
We hope to see representation from each Maine District 7790 club, with many District 7790 Rotarians and clubs benefiting from this important program while it is in our district. We look forward to gathering with Rotarians from 7790 and beyond again in Lewiston this spring.
Sincerely,
Denise Adams

TICKETS $20 AVAILABLE AT THE ELLSWORTH AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OR ANY ELLSWORTH ROTARIAN The Rotary Club of Ellsworth is hosting a fundraiser on May 17th at Big Cats Catering in Trenton Maine from 5-7 pm for the benefit of improvements needed at Demeyer Field in Ellsworth Maine. The Demeyer Field is used by the Little League, Challenger Little League, and the YMCA from April - October for various athletic programs. The need for improvements is critical for the safety of the children and an improved family experience for all. The project plans include a fenced playground area for siblings to use when the games are in progress, a fence along the pathway that connects the three fields that will aid in keeping children from using the busy road and repurposing the third field for multi-use multi age to include Little League, Farm League, Challenger Little League and to provide for future expanded Challenger programs, YMCA soccer and football programs. Additional parking spaces are also planned along the renovated field to provide for a safer and convenient parking structure. Currently the fields are right on the road and safety has been a concern for decades. The event is a fundraiser to include a live and silent auction. The Rotary Club of Ellsworth in partnership with the Little League, Challenger Little League, Down East Family YMCA and the Ellsworth Recreation Committee are working collaboratively on the project. In 1974 the ballfields were donated by the Rotary Club of Ellsworth to the City of Ellsworth for the purpose of recreational programs and after 50 years TLC and redesign for today’s programs are needed. The event will likely have 250 people in attendance and the goal is to raise $50,000 - 100% of the proceeds will go to this worthy community project. Join us in making a positive impact for the families and youth in our community. |
