  • The Rotary Club of Old Town would like to cordially invite you to attend their meeting on Thursday, March 31st. Stan Peterson and his fiancé Rachel Betterley will be presenting on their NID trip to India led by PDG Serge Poulin. This should be an interesting and fun evening. They ask to extend the invite to any members and guests who may be interested in hearing about their travels and experiences. They request an RSVP by March 28th from each club for meal planning purposes. Dinner is $15 per person. You are welcome to join them a little early for some social time if you like. The doors are usually open by 5:45 pm. They start promptly at 6:15 pm.  Their meetings are at the Elks Lodge in Old Town.
  • Jack Frost requested nominations for Paul Harris awards and reminded us they must meet the 4-way test.
  • Our club is taking donations for the Hancock County-wide Food Drive; Tracy Shaffer will deliver the food from Rotary to the collection site.
  • Ashley reminded club members of the 2016 District Conference at Sugarloaf May 20-22, 2016; all members are encouraged to attend. Registration can be done on-line at the District Website at www.rotary7790.org.
  • Our Club is considering changing our weekly meeting site to Betty’s Hilltop from China Hill. A vote will be taken on our April 5th meeting, and 51% of Rotary member votes are needed to make this change. Voting can be done in-person at our April 5th meeting (preferred) or by e-mail to Ashley. Prices at Betty’s will remain the same as China Hill, and there will be a salad option and three main course choices.
Auction Planning Meeting: Carl named six team captains for the planning of auction items: Iris, Tracy, Cheryl, Marian, Jane and Dom. Door prizes were given by Tracy to those who brought in food items for the Hancock County Food Drive. The winners were Tony, Gail, Jim, and Ray. Meeting adjourned at 7:10 pm.
