Opening Ceremonies: President Tracy Shaffer called the meeting to order. The Invocation was present by Larry Fernald and we said the Pledge of Allegiance. Tracy passed the podium to Jane Langley who presided over the meeting.

Happy Dollars Highlights: All happy dollars this quarter will go toward the Ellsworth Free Clinic. Jane Langley, Debbie and Lincoln Ehrlenbach, Scott Kimball, Andrea Mason, Iris Simon, Fred Beyer, Dan Hurley, Charlene Churchill, Marian Wells and Dave Wells were all very happy!
Rotary Business:
- Clyde reminded us about the Blood Drive at the YMCA on Tuesday, October 23rd, the Purple Pinkie Project at Pat’s Pizza on October 27th and the Diabetes Walk on October 20th.
- Marian spoke about Membership Night beginning at 5:30 pm on October 30, reminding all committee chairs to have their posters and informational flyers ready for our guests.
- Dave passed around the Movember for Men’s Health Poster and spoke about the fundraiser which will feature members growing mustaches and/or beards to raise money for men’s health issues.
- Tracy reminded us the Nominating Committee is looking for a Treasurer, a Secretary and a Vice-President.
- Jane told us about our Holiday Party to be held at The Grand on December 18th, featuring a gift exchange and a holiday film and Big Cat’s Catering will provide food, beer and wine.
Program/Speaker: Rachel Bousquet, the Associate Director of Education and Program Development at Kid’s Peace spoke to us about the many changes which have occurred during the last five years at the facility. Kid’s Peace provides residential, educational and foster care and community programs to children with autism, beginning with a pre-school program and continuing up through the teen years.
