Community Service – Clyde Cushing encouraged everyone to attend the Johnson Family Benefit on Friday, April 7th at Hancock Grammar School from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. Thank you to all who signed-up to help out.
 
Budget Update: Carl Lusby passed out the Close Anticipated $4,100 - $5,000 Budget Gap for the 2018 Fiscal Year. If you did not attend this week's meeting and you would like a copy of the Budget Gap, please contact Carl.
 
Paul Harris Committee: Jack Frost will be sending an email out to the committee of an upcoming meeting. Jack asked all members to email him potential names of Rotarians and Community members who you think should receive a Paul Harris for this year.
 
Program/Speaker: Alan Baker, owner and publisher of The Ellsworth American was our guest speaker this week. Alan joined The Rotary Club of Ellsworth 30 years ago and is a Paul Harris Fellow. He gave us great insight into his career in journalism and publishing, his ownership of the paper, and his views on the future of weekly newspapers.
