Happy Dollars Highlights: Carl Lusby gave $5 happy dollars for the Foundation seminar he attended. Charlene was happy about the downtown marketplace. Dave Wells was happy to be enjoying this time of year. Jane Langley was happy to be welcoming a new puppy in to the family. Iris was happy for the cause. Scott Kimball was happy that Jack had such a great birthday party at the Poinsettia Ball. Also happy were Nancy Mayo, Jo Cooper, Dom Efter, and Jim Vickers.
 
Rotary Business: Dave Wells informed us that Movember raised over $400. Jack spoke to the club about the upcoming Gifting Experience on December 10th. We passed around sign up sheets for the Christmas party on 12/20 and Loaves and Fishes. For the next two weeks we will be meeting in auditorium (HCTC and Christmas party).
 
  • Program: Nancy Mayo introduced our speaker, Rod Sparkowich of Downeast Maine SCORE in Ellsworth. Score has 37,000 volunteers nationally who strive to help entrepreneurs start their dream business and also to help established businesses grow. SCORE helped and mentored Rod and his wife start their business Coastal K9 Consulting.  Rod gave the club an overview of the work SCORE does nationwide as well as a few local testimonials form businesses who got their start here with the assistance of SCORE.
