President Scott Kimball opened the program with a welcome and conversation about education, books and the history of Rotary beliefs and mission. Scott then introduced guest speaker, Ben Speed (Multimedia Design Instructor for the Hancock County Technical Center). (See program for more details). Ben began his presentation by focusing on the book “Wonder” by R. J. Palacio. A book that is a book of precepts. A book that focuses on the beauty around us. Precepts of right and kind. Be kind, have courage to live by. In addition, use your wisdom to lead you.  Ben shared that his grandparents had words or precepts that had much wisdom. Go light and go often and once pick it up, do not put it down. Seeing things through was necessary. In addition, Winne the Pooh said, “This is how we go when we go like this”.

Ben also let the students know he had a game for them about their own precepts.  In addition, to check out the hashtag “choosekindellsworth”.  Ben ended his presentation by informing the audience we always have choices and it is up to the individual to choose their journey.

Additional Door prizes were given out to Students.

Scott Kimball opened the Awards section of the meeting. Jack Frost, Charlene Churchill, Larry Johnston, Heidi Omlor, and Alison King introduced the students and their accomplishments.
